MOVE OUT FAQs
What should I do if I’m selling my home and currently have propane service?
Please contact us as soon as possible to let us know your move-out date. This helps us coordinate final billing, account updates, and service transfer information for the new homeowner.
How much notice should I give before moving?
We recommend contacting us at least 7–14 days before closing or your move-out date whenever possible.
Will my propane service automatically transfer to the new homeowner?
No. The new homeowner will need to contact us directly to establish service in their name.
What information should I provide when moving out?
Move-out/closing date, property address, forwarding address, best contact number, and buyer/realtor info if available.
What happens to propane remaining in the tank?
Remaining propane is typically negotiated between buyer and seller during closing. Discuss this with your realtor or closing attorney.
Will I receive a final bill?
Yes. Once your account is finalized, you may receive a final invoice or a refund if there is a credit balance.
Do I need to disconnect propane appliances before moving?
No. Leave all propane appliances and equipment connected unless instructed otherwise by a licensed professional.
What if the home will be vacant for a period of time?
Please let us know if the property will be vacant so we can note the account and discuss any service considerations.
What happens if the propane tank is company-owned?
Company-owned tanks typically remain at the property to continue servicing the home.
Can I keep the same propane provider after moving?
If your new home is within our service area, we’d love the opportunity to continue serving you.
